Born in 1980 Istanbul, she graduated from MSU Istanbul State Conservatory of Performing Arts
in 2001, founder of Subvoid together with Ece Gozmen in 2006. She previously created solos,
improvisations, collabrations, was a scholarship student at the American Dance Festival in 2000
and has participated many festivals, worked with well-known choreographers/directors
from Europe to across the ocean.
She also worked with numerous companies in Istanbul as a choreographer, trainer, actor,
as well as a dancer, including Zeynep Tanbay Dance Project and Istanbul State Opera for 17 years.
In 2006, she created Subvoid with her first evening lenght work called ''Dependent Independences''.
Later on with her strong interest in editing, she decided to transform
her stage-art work into an experimental short film-art production and with this film,
she become an award-winner director in New York.
Subvoid has been presented by international film/contemporary dance festivals in Germany, Italy,
Portugal, Wien, London, Paris, New York, Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Cyprus, Sydney and Madrid since 2007.
1980 Istanbul dogumlu Guryuksel, AKM ve MSU'de 13 yil suren klasik bale egitiminden sonra,
2001'de MSU Konservatuar Modern Dans Bolumunden mezun olmasiyla noktalanan 17 yillik
dans egitimi suresince ve sonrasinda, cesitli solo/duet koreografileri ve dogaclama isleri yaratmis,
yurt icinde ve disinda bircok festivale katilmis, onemli koreograflar/yonetmenlerle birlikte calismistir.
1987 yilinda Istanbul Devlet Opera ve Balesi ile baslayan profesyonel sanat hayatinda,
son olarak dansci ve egitmen olarak gorev yaptigi Zeynep Tanbay Dans Projesine kadar,
Turkiye’nin onde gelen sanat kurumlarinda ve ozel tiyatrolarda,
koreograf, egitmen, dansci ve oyuncu olarak cok cesitli deneyimler kazandiktan sonra
bagimsizligini ilan ederek, 2006 yilinda ''Ilisiksiz Temas'' adli eseri
ve Ece Gozmen’le birlikte Subvoid’i yaratmistir.
2006'da eseri icin sectigi gorsellerin kurgu ve montajini yapmaya baslayan,
Ilisiksiz Temas'in bazi bolumleri icin kurguladigi ilk goruntulerden sonra, ayni eserin senaryosunu
''Kimsenin Evcili'' adiyla, deneysel kisa bir filme donusturen Guryuksel,
Nisan 2007’de produksiyonunu tamamladigi filmiyle, Temmuz 2007’de
New York International Independent Film Festivaline davet edilip,
''Best International Avant Garde Film’’ odulunu almistir.
Subvoid'in Ilisiksiz Temas ve Kimsenin Evcili adli eserleri, 2007 yilindan itibaren,
Almanya, Italya, Portekiz, Viyana, Londra, Paris, New York, Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya,
