Ece Gozmen born in 1982 Germany, lost in the world of colors, stripes, dots and cartoons
where imagination has no end. She started to paint for trying to create her own personal cartoon world,
which turns in time to express her personal feelings on a piece of paper, jumped into the world of an artist.
In that meaning, to paint got too personal for her and for that reason, she choosed the path of
free movement quality, to share her expressions and feelings for her professional art career.

Starting her dance education in Germany ended in Turkey, where she graduated from
Yildiz Technical University Modern Dance Program in 2005. During her education,
she worked with many known choreographers, attended many festivals in and outside her country.
Gozmen's professional dance career started with CRR Dance Theatre in 2002. During that period,
she also worked with other companies/theaters as a dancer and trainer.

In 2005, she was a member of Zeynep Tanbay Dance Project where she met with Aysegul Guryuksel.
After a season in ZTDP, she took her place in Guryuksel’ s “Dependent Independences”  
and their straight, strange and strong abstract view of matters brought Subvoid into life.

1982 Almanya dogumlu Ece Gozmen, kucuk yaslarda kendi cizgi dunyasini yaratmak arzusuyla
resim cizmeye baslayarak sanat hayatina atilmis, duyularini tuval ustune aktarmaya baslamis ve
ressam olmak istegi ile ozel dersler almis fakat resim yapmanin kendisi icin cok kisisel bir boyutta
sinirli kaldigini hissedip, profesyonel sanat hayati icin dans etmeyi secmistir.

1987 yilinda, Almanya’da Volkshochschule Nellingen bale okulunda egitimine baslayip
1989'da Turkiye’ye donerek  Suna Ugur’la egitimini surduren Gozmen, 2001 yilinda girdigi Yildiz Teknik
Universitesi Sanat Tasarim Fakultesi Modern Dans Programindan 2005'te mezun olarak, 15 yil suren
dans egitimini tamamlamistir. Universite egitimi suresinde bircok yabanci koreografla calismis,
onlarin eserlerinde yer almis, yurt icinde ve disinda cesitli festivallere katilmistir.

2002'de CRR Dans Tiyatrosuyla profesyonel sanat hayatina baslayan Gozmen,
ayni zamanda egitmenlik yapip, dansin cesitli alanlarinda deneyim kazanip,
ozel tiyatrolarda calistiktan sonra, 2005 yilinda Zeynep Tanbay Dans Projesine girmistir.
ZTDP'de Aysegul Guryuksel ile tanisan Gozmen, 2006 yilinda Guryuksel’in "Ilisiksiz Temas"
adli eserinde yer almis ve birlikte Subvoid'i hayata getirmislerdir.
